Great off beach value
On the off-beach side of the road, near Griya and almost opposite Bukit Segara, Anugerah doesn’t look like all that much from the street, but the rooms struck us as pretty good value for its locale along this strip.
You’re definitely a step up from Acarya or Beten Waru (both of which are 100 or so metres down the road to the west). They call the rooms here villas, but they’re more the standard cottage style you’ll find all over Amed. The difference here is they feel a little bigger, have comfortable four-poster beds with real bedding and a mosquito net, air-con, TV, free WiFi, spotless hot water bathrooms and, for the elevated rooms, terrific views out and over the ocean. There’s a medium-sized swimming pool on site with sunloungers and umbrellas along with a small cafe (we guess, primarily for breakfast). The location is off the beach, but the sand at Lipah is only 10 minutes’ walk away -- or there is a swimming pool right out front. Overall Anugerah was a bit of a surprise for us and the staff were also very friendly. Check around online for a discounted rate; we were quoted slightly less than their website rate as a high-season walk-in.
