Stylish Boho Beachfront
Villa Pasir have captured the salt-encrusted, sun-faded boho aesthetic perfectly with this sand-at-your-door, beach hut-style boutique hotel.
Directly on the beach (really), three rooms are on offer—there may be a fourth, but it seemed to be occupied by the owner when we popped by. One (or two) have a full frontal beach view, and the two behind have partial views. We were quoted 100,000 rupiah difference in price between the two, and it’s really worth bagging the front room for as well as it being larger,it comes with a spacious private terrace lacking in the other rooms.
Big, bright interiors are a delight, with gorgeous furnishings and plenty of room for a Sailor’s Hornpipe (or any old seafaring jig). Whitewashed walls and unpolished wooden floors add to the ambience, which includes rustic-style furnishings and local textiles. Beds are big and bouncy and the whole interior and amenities are well considered, homely and comfortable. All rooms add an extra bed, either as a daybed or a pull out-type bunk, so this is a good choice for small families.
Facilities include air-con and ceiling fans, minibar and tea maker. Spacious and stylish bathrooms provide hot-water showers, but as with most places on Lembongan, the water is rather salty.
If you don’t manage to score the front room, shaded bean bags and sun loungers can be enjoyed outside your room, or at the beachfront. The seaside locale is perfect to relax, but due to the Instagrammable nature of this attractive spot, the passing traffic tends to stop and stare, so perhaps it's not as private and intimate as it could be.
Villa Pasir doesn’t have a pool, which is unusual at this price point on Nusa Lembongan, but as the sea is merely metres from your door, it's not really necessary. Breakfast is not included, but 100 metres down the beach you can enjoy a healthy start at Ginger & Jamu or stock your minibar with fresh tropical fruit from the market.
Villa Pasir have a two-night minimum stay (although you’ll probably want to stay longer). Friendly staff mentioned that better rates were available direct. For a stylish aesthetic with more upmarket resort-style facilities, nearby Indiana Kenaga offers elegant and private rooms, but without the sea views.

Her house has been described as a cross between a museum and a library. Fuelled by coffee, she can often be found riding her bike or petting stray cats. Sally believes travel is the key to world peace.
