Ageing old favourite
Jl Brigjen Slamet Riyadi No. 286, Solo T: (0271) 711 976 F: (0271) 713 880
First opened in 1953, Hotel Dana is well regarded in Solo for its friendly service. However, the decor of the rooms is a little dated, especially in the bathrooms. Regardless of the salmon colour theme, rooms are comfortable and clean, with minibar fridges and cable television. Built in a former royal building and located near the city's tourism information office, batik museum and wayang orang performances, Hotel Dana has nicely landscaped grounds and an onsite coffee shop and jogging track.
