A hotel to be endured not savoured

Hotel Tator

The Hilton this place is not.

Photo of Hotel Tator It's a dark and grimy joint that is the stereotype of Jalan Jaksa budget accommodation. The rooms here are some of the cheapest in Jakarta and those on a tight budget will probably have the fortitude to tough it out in this hotel for a night or two. The cheapest rooms are hot, stuffy things with a fan that agitates the stuffiness and simple cold water bathroom. The more expensive rooms come with air-con and hot water and are definitely worth the increase in price. Overall, the hotel is cleaner and more welcoming than some others in this area, but it is still a hotel to be endured rather than savoured.
