A slight improvement on the Iboih standard
If you’re looking for a cheapish room, but something a little better than the Iboih norm, Yulia’s is a top choice.
Located right at the end of the jungle track, Yulia’s has bungalows with share bathroom, with private bathroom and private bathroom with ocean frontage. The paths leading from the bungalows to the fabulously located waterfront restaurant are well-paved and generally well-lit when compared to other places in Iboih.
The deck area near the restaurant is every bit as good as the one at Iboih Inn, but you don’t have to pay through the nose to enjoy it. Rooms are stock standard bungalows with a few touches that make them feel slightly better than some others, although it has to be said that the variety which shares a bathroom is bare bones.
Of note was one of the beds we tried. It was so badly broken that no matter where you lay on it, you rolled to the centre. When we approached the staff, they said that they knew about it ages ago but the owner was too stingy to repair it.
Perhaps a sign of how this place will end up with age. Negotiate hard on price.
What we were quoted as a walk-in.
