Rooms are simple, but do come with air-con, TV and WiFi, with the better rooms having their own private cold water bathroom with Western toilet.

Those wanting to cook for themselves will love the communal kitchen, although with delicious food as cheap as chips in these parts, cooking may well be the last thing on your mind.

This place often fills up, so it’s best to book a day in advance, although you might be lucky to walk in early in the day and score a bed.

This a good cheapie.
