An excellent midrange option
If Tira Villa is a too downmarket for your tastes, or if you need a swimming pool that actually exists, Ekasbreaks is an excellent choice.
It’s set back off the beaches, a bit of a ride from, well, everything, but it’s a very pleasant little oasis with very smart lumbung-style rooms looking over a refreshing swimming pool, with Rinjani sulking in the far distance. The wood floored rooms are immaculate and air-con throughout, with sunken hot-water bathrooms, comfortable beds and moderately sized decks overlooking lush and very well-kept gardens. A large restaurant is set near the pool, which offers Western and Indonesian fare -- prices are high, but Ekas is a bit of a captive market and other options are limited. Staff are very friendly and helpful and we found the management to be very knowledgable about the greater area. If Ekasbreaks fits within your budget, look no further. Recommended.
