Long running and comfortable
Long-running Sekar Kuning (Yellow Flower) is the pick of the bunch for a budget bunch on the beach road.
Rooms are simple, but clean and inoffensive. Go for a room towards the rear if you can to dodge restaurant and traffic noise. With these low prices, Sekar Kuning attracts a steady backpacker crowd and the restaurant (at least when we passed though) had the atmosphere to match. They have quite a few rooms, so off season a reservation is unlikely to be necessary, but in season, not a bad idea. If they are full, Anda Bungalows next door offers similar fare, but it is a bit more rundown than here.
