Great budget value
Perhaps named Hey Hey as it takes about six "heys" to wake the staff laying about in the garden sala, but Hey Hey offers great value budget rooms at a price point that works for a location this close to the beach, set down towards the market end of Kuta town.
You can’t drive here from Jalan Pantai Kuta but by motorbike is fine, or you can approach from the other side by car no problems. An upstairs room is easily the pick of the bunch but it was booked "for a long time" when we visited. That said, the ground floor rooms are also a good deal and you’re right in amid it, spitting distance from both the market and Kuta’s restaurants and bars -- oh and the beach. Expect a lot of early morning noise when the market is cranking. We were told walk-ins only -- no reservations are accepted in advance.
What we were quoted as a walk-in.
