A sprawling homestay
Yuli’s is a sprawling homestay a solid walk back from the centre of Kuta town, and going by the number of motorbikes and cars, we doubt many walk it.
The homestay runs back through two lawned compounds, each with a swimming pool and with concrete rooms in blocks overlooking the pool and lawn. Rooms are oversized, with plenty of room for an extra bed and the spacious grounds are ideal for families with kids. All rooms are air-con, but in a strange move, the rooms all have cold-water showers -- but there are shower blocks in the garden with hot showers! Staff are very courteous and rates include breakfast and coffee -- you’re welcome to use the kitchen facilities for your own needs if you wish. Overall this is a good spot, but definitely on the pricey side, as you’ll get well fitted out rooms with a pool far closer to the beach. Yuli’s is extremely popular and reservations are strongly recommended. If full, the nearby Heavenly Homestay has simple rooms with cold water showers for 300,000 rupiah.
