Cheapish simple digs
Simple and cheap, Made Homestay offers simple rooms in fan-cooled and air-con flavours in a single row running back from the off-beach side of the road.
Rooms are very basic and have not aged well -- think lumpy beds, broken chairs out front and decidedly grimy bathrooms. Made’s is a friendly spot -- when we showed up we interrupted a group lunch and were invited to join in on what looked like a pretty decent spread. Right beside the busy Raya Senggigi Road, the rooms do catch quite a bit of traffic noise, but you’re very close to the beach here -- cross the road and you’re there. Overall Sonya Homestay is more central and Indah Homestay far quieter, but for the money, Made is what it says on the can -- cheap budget traveller lodgings near the beach.
