Centrally located Hotel Samada fits well into the budget end of Dompu’s hotel offerings, with large air-con rooms and dire cell-like fan rooms.
While the staff are very friendly, the rooms are less likely to bring a smile to your face. The bathrooms are as inexplicably big as they are bad. The bathroom basin is in the bedroom and the water leaks straight onto the floor. The air-con units date back the 17th century but they do work well. You get what you pay for, but chances are you’ll be here for just a night and will survive. If they’re full (highly unlikely) the Hotel Sahab is around on Jalan Soekarno Hatta and also caters to budget travellers. They can send off a staffer to grab you some beer if you look sufficiently thirsty.
