Resort style lodgings

More on Pantai Lakey

Easily the flashest (and most expensive) hotel lodging on Lakey Beach, Amangati offers solid hotel-standard fare that will satisfy anyone looking for creature comforts and has a bit of budget to match.

Travelfish says:

The Balinese-owned hotel -- a penjor drooped out front when we walked by -- has a wide selection of rooms, from semi-basic standards to cute and comfortable "bungalows" that are more like shared chalets. They also have a range of fancier options, with prices to match. We were shown a quite spacious bungalow which came with a four-poster bed with a real mattress and real linen (these alone have the Amangati standing out from much of the crowd in Lakey). Facilities include a wood-panelled flatscreen TV and an immaculate hot-water bathroom which came with a real showerhead -- the class! Beachfront rooms overlook the sprawling lawn and the ocean beyond -- a view shared with the elevated restaurant, and a small swimming pool that sits to one side of the grounds. Amangati is a good choice for those who like their surfing without the grungy beds and have the budget to fit. It seems expensive for the area, and personally if we were spending this much we’d be looking at one of the wooden house rentals up behind Ali’s, but really this isn’t too bad a value for hotel standards. In season, reservations are recommended.
