Big rooms by the pier
One of two homestays in Labuan Aji, Naela Homestay sits right by the left side of the public pier facing out to sea.
It’s a two-storey concrete building with an upstairs terrace and fewer than a dozen simple, clean rooms with shared bathroom facilities. Rooms are either fan-cooled or air-con and quite spacious, simple, well lit and airy. Floors are tiled and rooms have wood-framed beds, clean bedspreads, plenty of pillows and some beds have a mosquito net. The shared bathrooms are reasonably clean with both Western and squat loos available. A small shop on the ground floor sells a few supplies. There is a second homestay just around the corner -- walk straight ahead from the pier and turn right, then it is almost immediately on your left. It’s a wooden and thatch building with multiple rooms set behind a pretty and well-tended garden. Either place would be fine for a few nights. Rates are full board, meaning they include three meals a day.
