A basic budget choice
The fan-cooled rooms at Wat That Guesthouse are a great deal for budget travellers in low season but are grossly inflated in high season.
These rooms have bare beds, hard wood floors and fans in an older-style building. On a positive note, the building feels clean and bright despite its age. All come with private hot water bathroom and Western toilet. Rooms are a tad spartan though there has been some effort to fill them in with a small stool and dresser. We did see a few rooms with the mattress on the floor – we hope this was just temporary! There’s an on-site restaurant of sorts and free WiFi throughout. This is a good pick in low season if you’re on a limited budget.
