Over the years Riverside Bungalows has undergone significant renovations to now be one of the best bungalow options in town.

Photo of Riverview Bungalows
Operated by jolly Mama Tjum, these bungalows are located at the far end of town, where fewer guests choose to stay, and away from the noisy boat dock. Bungalows are made from solid wood and oriented differently from many others in town to make the most of the spectacular views. Hammocks are standard, the beds come with a mosquito net and the bathrooms are cold water shower jobs with bucket flush Western toilets. You might be lucky to score some hot water in the middle of a sunny day due to the way the pipes are arranged in this place, but don’t bank on it if you really must have hot water. Perhaps the best thing about this place is Mama Tjum, who will do everything to make sure you are comfortable. Beers magically appear when you are getting thirsty and plates of yummy food arrive just when you thought you might crawl out of the hammock to find something to eat. A top spot.
