Duc Loc Hotel is a Vietnamese run three-storey hotel at the very eastern end of town near the bridge.
We didn’t expect much given the ground floor is a cheap Vietnamese restaurant but the rooms upstairs are surprisingly decent. The rooms have tile floor, wood panelling courtesy of Attapeu’s forests, high ceilings, windows, fan and air-con, table and chair, TV, mirror and simple hot water bathroom with Western toilet.
WiFi is accessible in the rooms, water and towel provided. Not a lick of English spoken but the staff can whip you up some Vietnamese food, the hotel has money exchange and if you are Vietnam bound, they can call the bus company to pick you up en route.
