Bungalows for the not so scruffy traveller

We’re haven’t decided yet if Don Det Bungalows has the best name for accommodation on the island or the worst.
Completely generic yet admirably accurate name aside, the bungalows are excellent. The curb appeal helps too. The two rows of raised bungalows are adorned with gingerbread trim, bamboo thatch and surrounded by picket fence as well as a tidily kept litter-free garden—this was in late 2016 and clearly some upkeep had recently been done.
Behind the bamboo thatch are simple yet comfortable rooms with solid walls, beds with good mattress and crisp white linens and a handy luggage/clothes drying rack. Rooms come with a mosquito net, fan, towels, hot water bathroom with window for ventilation and a welcome sign, a cute touch.
The back row of bungalows offers more privacy from the footpath. It backs onto a rice paddy and it’s a pity they didn’t think to reverse the orientation so it would face them for a smashing view. Instead, the balcony faces the back of the other bungalows. Also, the view of the river has been given to their wide restaurant. So it’s not a penthouse with a view but it’ll please a backpacker looking for a classier bungalow. We just hope they keep up the good work.
