Royal Pakse Hotel

Our rating:
3.5 stars, based on 1 expert review

This multi-storey hotel in the middle of the tourist area on 13 Road is a reasonable budget choice.

Photo of Royal Pakse Hotel
It's an old hotel with traditional hotel rooms which include mini fridge, cable TV with CNN, writing desk and springy beds. It's a clean place with bright white walls and dullish tiled floors. It could look even brighter in the rooms if they used stronger light bulbs, but as is the case in most of Laos, low wattage light bulbs are used. In the rooms we stayed in, both windows were missing, presumably stolen, and one was patched up with a piece of wood. The other was just simply left open and sold as a feature. You don't need this sort of air-con at Royal Pakse as the rooms come with perfectly good electricity powered air-cons. This place is a good deal if you get a room with windows – if not, go somewhere else.
