Loso Guesthouse

Loso Guesthouse

Small rooms, good value

More on Tha Khaek Loop

The value on offer at this guesthouse is noteworthy, and while it’s not as plush as Phamarn View or Sanhak Guesthouse, it’s a pick for budget conscious solo travellers who want air-con.

Travelfish says:

There are two types of rooms. The air-con rooms in the building at the front are small with a lot squeezed in: beds with good sheets, box TV, WiFi, mini-fridge and hot water bathroom with Western toilet. These rooms were designed to accommodate two Lao-sized people—large folk will struggle and at a glance, the bed looks like a full-sized mattress rather than a queen.

The newer building at the back is a motel style two-storey affair, some rooms specifically for solo travellers—these rooms are narrow and have a single bed. The cute (in other words, cramped) rooms are clean and brightly lit, as is the ensuite private bathroom with hot water shower.

The lack of space equates to savings, as this is one of the cheapest air-con rooms in town and it’s close to the bus station. For a fan room, you’ll get tons more space for the same price at Xokxaykham Guesthouse.
