There’s nothing ecolodge-ish about this and the buzzword should be taken lightly.
As a guesthouse, Konglor Eco-Lodge is a decent choice and one of the most popular in the village, helped by the fact that it is the closest guesthouse to the cave.
The property has two buildings, and we inspected the modern two storey building. The rooms are a little dated and the walls bear some nicks and scratches, however, the flooring looked new, there’s space to move around, screened windows to open, a luggage rack to unload on and a standing floor fan to cool off with.
The corner rooms benefit from an extra set of windows. The bathroom looks absolutely identical to the bathrooms found in every single guesthouse in Konglor (perhaps there is only one builder?). It’s a long wetroom-style bathroom with electric heated shower and western toilet.
The proprietress is warm and friendly and the restaurant is a convenient spot to hang out and fill the belly. The other accommodation in the village sport newer, more modern accommodation. Stay here if you don’t mind a room with a bit more guesthouse-y charm.
