For those on a tight budget
Main road, south end of town, Vang Vieng T: (023) 511 036
At the south end of the main road well from the bustle of restaurants, Nana is for those travelling on a tight budget.
Overall the place is fairly run down and everything is in need of several coats of paint, but it’s just about the cheapest room with private bathroom that we’d deem passable in Vang Vieng. Rooms are fairly standard with simple beds, slightly mildewy ensuite bathrooms, and the option of fan or air-con, but the rooms are more spacious than most and some are painted neon green, giving them a healthy dose of personality. The dorm room is simply a large room they’ve converted, so there are only three beds plus an ensuite shared bathroom. TVs in the rooms weren't working when we visited and the WiFi had a weak signal strength in the room. We also experienced other minor maintenance issues such as broken showerheads. For a budget place to stay in town, we’d recommend you pay the extra 10,000 kip and go for Kianethong, Dokboua or Khamphone Guesthouse which are all significantly better.
