Good budget value
There are two different rooms available at Kianethong Guesthouse, those in the main house and those in the newer motel block style building.
The rooms in the building are typical guesthouse: small and basic with big hard beds that take up most of the room, old cable TVs and dimly lit hot water bathrooms. But they’re very clean and come with free WiFi, a rarity in this price range. The rooms in the big three-storey complex have cookie cutter rooms with white walls, a small window, crisp white linens, clean tiled bathroom, a fan and icy cold air-con though we noticed even in the midday heat, the tiled-floor room felt naturally cool. These rooms are boring and you may feel a bit isolated if you’re the only one in the building block, but if you don’t mind then come here to score a good budget deal. Kianethong is located on the side street adjacent to the hospital, running between the main road and the river road. It’s on the same street as Adam’s Climbing School.
