Good-value quality backpacker hostel
This backpacker hostel really is popular with the backpacking crowd and rightly so.
The owners have done a great job of providing good quality budget accommodation when most places in this price range are downright scary. The dorm rooms, which have four to six beds each and a shared bathroom ensuite, are clean and tidy and your only concern is going to be if you get noisy roommates. The clean and bright private rooms are also good value for Vang Vieng with big beds, old cable TVs and private hot water bathrooms. These rooms also come with relaxing balconies. There’s lockers on the ground floor (bring your own lock), WiFi is available throughout and true to the hostel’s motto “Just feel at home with friends”, the ground floor is usually packed with people just chilling – a great place to meet new friends.

Cindy Fan is a Canadian writer/photographer and author of So Many Miles, a website that chronicles the love of adventure, food and culture. After falling in love with sticky rice and Mekong sunsets, in 2011 she uprooted her life in Toronto to live la vida Laos. She’s travelled to over 40 countries and harbours a deep affection for Africa and Southeast Asia. In between jaunts around the world, she calls Laos and Vietnam home where you’ll find her traipsing through rice paddies, standing beside broken-down buses and in villages laughing with the locals.
