Shady and park-like
Slightly Grimm’s Fairy Tale-ish Agoh Chalet is set just off the main road into Kuala Tahan about 500 metres from the river bank.
The very shady enclave offers 16 simple grey-cement bungalows with thin-mattressed beds and private baths with coldwater showers that are clean and practical. Air-con is also available, in case the cold shower isn’t enough to keep you cooled down. The rooms are surprisingly spacious despite their diminutive outward appearance. Several huge shade trees and a decent size lawn make for plenty of romping room for kids. The English speaking staff is very helpful with providing information or arranging local tours. The bus stop and several small sundry shops and warungs are just a short walk away.
