We hope your kids are sound sleepers.
At the very bottom of this budget range is The Regin Hotel in Kallang, East Singapore. The spacious family suite with two beds, TV, and a mini-bar stuffed with complimentary snacks is a steal at S$110 on weekdays and S$120 on weekends, plus an extra S$10 charge for a second child.
Around the Bugis area, the long-running South East Asia Hotel has triple rooms that are ideal for a small family and a bargain at S$130 per night. Rooms are dated and simple, but the location is very central. If you prefer a more modern style, the Mayo Inn is a great find and charges a flat S$140 for a family room with one queen and one single bed. The quaint Victoria Hotel has family rooms with a clever layout that almost creates two bedrooms (one with a queen bed, one with a single bed) and cost S$220. Big families that don’t want to split up will be interested in the Strand Hotel with massive family rooms that can accommodate up to seven people. Rates start from S$240 with surcharges for more than four occupants.
If you’ve promised the kids a pool but need to stay on budget, cross your fingers there’s room at the Fragrance Hotel Selegie. Family rooms are furnished with one double and one single bed and cost about S$180 per night including breakfast - be sure to shop around online as their walkin rates are well inflated. The newish V Hotel Lavender also has a pool and triple rooms ideal for a small family. It’s also directly on top of Lavender SMRT station. Rates range from S$180-240 depending on date and if you want breakfast. S$200 is also the price of a family room at the Bayview Hotel which includes a deluxe room with an extra bed and breakfast for two adults and one child.

Over on Orchard Road, the Holiday Inn is a guaranteed family-pleaser with its landscaped pool and free kids’ meals. However, it only comes in under budget if you can snag a promotional rate and don’t need an extra bed (a roll-away cot is an extra S$80 per night!). A deluxe room will set you back about S$220 per night with an advance purchase rate and there’s no extra charge for kids under 12. One of the only true mid-range hotels on Orchard, Hotel Supreme is an older option without the snazzy facilities, but has generously-sized family rooms with two queen beds for S$240.

Almost as much fun as a video game!
While these hotels are all fine choices, my top pick for mid-range family accommodation is the YMCA International House. Their deluxe family rooms range from $160 to $200 and are furnished with three or four beds plus you get full access to their great facilities like a gym, swimming pool and traveller’s lounge.
For an escape from the city, we highly recommend Celestial Resort on Pulau Ubin. The family duplex is more like a house than a hotel room and costs around S$220 per night, including breakfast for two adults and two children. The hotel has its own swimming lagoon and the island is teeming with family activities like bike riding, swimming, and nature walks.
