The Mix Hotel

The Mix Hotel

Affordable rooms next to the skytrain

More on Sukhumvit

This tall and slender budget hotel occupies a shophouse-style building that’s literally two steps from an entrance to Phra Khanong BTS station.

Travelfish says:

Such effortless access to the skytrain is a good reason to stay here, but the rooms aren’t too shabby either. Spread over five floors accessed by a narrow stairway, the characterless but modern rooms get the job done with glossy white-tile floors, decent-quality beds and linens, air-con, desks, free WiFi, widescreen LCD TVs, wide windows, recessed lighting and small bathrooms with hot-water showers behind curtains. We noticed a few scuffs and scratches but overall the rooms appeared clean. Suitable for families on a budget, the deluxe editions come with more space and a sofa. We checked out a room in the back of the building and found it very quiet, but we reckon that some traffic noise will seep into the front-facing rooms with views of the skytrain. Simple complimentary breakfasts are served in a small common room with a couple of shared computers. The young woman who showed us around didn’t display any hint of annoyance when we asked to see a room up on the fifth floor, and later we noticed her trying her best to assist a group of Chinese travellers despite a language barrier. Across the road, Little Corner Hotel is a similar choice with smaller rooms and identical rates.
