Our rating:
3 stars, based on 1 expert review

Chao Lao's largest resort, Tosang Beach Hotel, is set in a great location right on the beach and features a large swimming pool, restaurant, spa and conference room.

More geared to foreigners than Chao Lao's other resorts, it's a lively spot that's a safe bet for those expecting a full-scale beach resort experience. Standard rooms (although the resort prefers to call them ‘superiors') are located in an uninspiring four-storey building set back from the beach, and while these are clean and well equipped with air-con, free WiFi, fridges, TVs and plenty of space, they feel rather generic. Beachfront cottages are similarly dull but they do at least have seashells built into the bathroom sinks and spacious verandas with ocean views. Breakfast and bicycles are free for all guests and the resort is happy to arrange onward transport and tours of the areas.
