This genuine reggae-inspired bungalow spot has a good location about halfway between Khlong Kloi Beach and Bang Bao Pier.

We're talking seriously rudimentary accommodation here -- choose between a crumbling concrete hovel or faded stilted bamboo bungalow, both with firm mattress, mosquito net and porch with hammock. BYOF (bring your own fan). On the plus side (we guess?), the concrete rooms have some wild red, yellow and green murals on the exterior walls. The stilted bungalows have ensuite cold-water bathrooms while the concrete ones rely on basic shared facilities. The owners seem to be true Thai Rastafarians; we found one shirtless guy with dreadlocks down to his feet murmuring like a Jamaican Rasta elder. If you're on a shoestring budget and are well aware of who Haile Selassie was, look no further.
