There's no beach in front of Nang Nual, but it's a beautiful spot nonetheless.

It's one of several Kai Bae resorts that have been around for some time, and while the concrete villas are beginning to show some wear-and-tear on the outside, they're well kept where it counts. On the down side, the villas are stacked on top of each other in neat rows, so your view will look onto the rear side of your front neighbour unless you shell out for a sea view. Thankfully, the sea view options aren't too much more expensive. Though lacking character, all rooms are spacious, comfortable and equipped with air-con, fridge, TV and large bathroom. Spacious front porches are a bonus, but the restaurant and bar are the highlight, sitting right on the water's edge for killer sunsets and peaceful evening meals. The pool is a huge circular lagoon-style job that looks to be a pleasant place to pass the day. The exceptionally polite and friendly staff adds to a family-friendly atmosphere. Nearby, Coral Resort is another older but still decent seaside place to stay with similar rooms for a bit more money.
