Regardless of which name you go with, this very popular joint offers strikingly similar fare to their neighbour just to the north, Koh Kood Resort, but at higher rates and we weren't convinced of the extra value. They have a variety of rooms from quite aged wooden bungalows to newer "earthern style" concrete bungalows towards the rear. There's plenty of shade to keep the punters cool on their front verandas. We visited twice, once at late morning and once at lunch, and both times the place was a bit of a madhouse and we were told we couldn't see a room. In the end we pretended to be a guest to have the cleaners let us into a room and it is solid fare for the money. We found the staff and the vibe at Koh Kood Resort to be more favourable and the online rates for The Beach Resort are significantly higher than what they'll give you walk-in.
