Ao Pong Resort

Located at the bottom of the hill just past Ao Nid pier, this cute resort is perfect for those who need some serious down time.

Photo of Ao Pong Resort Seven spacious and clean bungalows are perched on stilts over a grassy hill with huge wood porches that afford fantastic sunset views. You can choose between fan and air-con, and most rooms have tile floors, soft beds, lots of screened windows and large hot water bathrooms. There's also one smaller fan bungalow with unfinished wood walls that's a bit more rustic. The resort has a cosy common area with a flatscreen TV, a few books, sofa and floor cushions. You'll also find a handful of hammocks strung amid the trees that hang over the resort's tiny but picturesque beach. Overall this is a relaxing spot with a charming atmosphere, and it's quite popular so reservations are recommended. On the eastern side of this same peninsula, Pano Resort has reasonably comfortable stilted log cabins in a similarly quiet but less charming spot with a rocky shore.
