is a bit more spacious, cleaner and quieter than most of the competitors. Well-kept rooms have a cheerful air thanks to life-size stickers of roses and lilies on pink or light blue walls, with several windows to let in the fresh air. Firm beds with clean sheets are placed on simple steel frames, and each room comes with wall-mounted fan and/or air-con to go with small but acceptable ensuite hot water bathroom. A kind older woman and her family operate the guesthouse, and it just feels more “together” than many of the others. The thick walls and side street location make it a safe bet for light sleepers.
