Clean and easy to find
A three-minute stroll west of the bus stop, Baan Chan Bhu is a straightforward small hotel set in a modern two-storey building right next to the road.
Newer than its competitors, the place has the cleanest rooms in central Dan Sai. Though a bit utilitarian, the stark white rooms come with large windows, TVs, decent beds and simple hot-water bathrooms with glass basin sinks. We found both the receptionist to be very friendly and welcoming. A few bicycles are available for guests, and a connected souvenir shop sells little Phi Ta Khon dolls and magnets. We didn’t get a clear answer on rates during the festival, but expect them to jump.
