More on Udon Thani

The Pannarai is a fairly large hotel with bright and modern rooms to go with a decent-size pool.

Travelfish says:

Some rooms overlook the pool on the quiet side of the building while others face a cluster of bars -- request poolside unless you plan to be up late. All rooms come with air-con, widescreen LCD TVs, fridges, safes, free WiFi, desks and good-size bathrooms. Deluxe versions are about the same size as standards but get you extras like a balcony, tea/coffee facilities, hair dryer, bathrobe and slippers. The rooms we checked out were spotless, and we dug the light wood accents to compliment white floors and walls. All rates include an extensive buffet breakfast. The pool is situated on a private side of the building, rimmed by a spacious deck with loungers and next to a small fitness room. We had a good experience at reception, with the staff speaking decent English and smiling while offering to show us a room. While some will appreciate the location that puts you very close to Central Plaza and some of Udon’s best markets and Western eateries, others will be put off by the seedy bars found around here. Check rates on the online booking sites before reserving through the hotel. The nearby Kavin Buri Hotel is an alternative if you want a similarly comfortable room for cheaper, and you don’t need the pool, though the staff there was not so welcoming when we inquired.
