More on Udon Thani

Occupying a sharp modern Thai house in a quiet corner of the city, Jamjuree is our top pick in Udon Thani.

Travelfish says:

It truly is a home, with the young Thai owners living here and getting up to cook breakfast for guests or perhaps join them in the on-site yoga studio. The house has only four guestrooms along with several spacious common areas that come complete with sofas, tables, terraces and free WiFi. Two of the rooms come in at a spacious 35 square metres, while the other two are spread over 45 square metres and include kitchenettes. We were very impressed by one of the smaller additions, equipped with a cushy queen-size bed, wall-mounted widescreen LCD TV, desk, fridge, coffee/tea facilities, wide glass doors opening onto a furnished balcony and a huge bathroom with toilet, shower and sink all partitioned in separate spaces. Each designed with a different theme in mind and labeled names like “Blue Ocean” and “Sweet Flower”, the rooms have sleek hardwood touches in addition to distinctive decor, including dried herbs under glass on the desks and iron chandeliers. The owners speak good English, offering bicycles for free along with maps and pamphlets to help you get the most out of Udon. The location is a bit removed from the action, though it’s only a 15-minute walk to Nong Prajak Park and a very good day market is around the corner on Udon Dutsadi Road. Recommended.
