This tiny ‘resort’ has a mere four rooms - three air-con, one fan -- and our only fear is that with so few rooms, at these rates and with a restaurant only open during high season, how are they going to stay in business? While it’s here, the excellent spacious rooms are lovingly decorated and well appointed with air-con, hot shower, WiFi, minibar, cable TV and French doors opening onto a small but pleasantly laid out courtyard garden.
It's relatively new too as of mid-2015, so everything is spick and span and works efficiently – as do indeed the staff, who were very friendly and helpful. Apparently the owner is an artist -- hence the name and tasteful decor. The air-con room -- call it ‘deluxe’ -- is slightly larger than the others, with more elaborate decor, but all rooms are great bargains for the price. Though closed for low season when we visited, the restaurant looked good too, with an interesting menu and inexpensive prices, plus an extensive bar menu. All this with only four rooms! The location is convenient too, since it’s near the start of Soi 25 and an easy walk from the delights of downtown Chiang Dao. All in all, this is a great spot!
