A more than adequate second choice should Pathang Hill be full and indeed Chill Chill is located just across the road.

While not much English was spoken they do at least have an English sign outside and staff were discreet but friendly enough. Chill Chill Guesthouse have the choice of great little chalets with table and chairs outside on a small balcony, with a garden in front and a view across the valley to the west. There’s also larger chalets overlooking the concrete car park. Oddly the latter are more expensive but can sleep four people so are popular with Thai tourists who have problems going on holiday without taking the entire extended family along. There’s a small cafe, eating area, which wasn’t open during low season though free coffee was available in the mornings. The chalets are cosy with a decent duvet and piping hot water. WiFi also worked well and there is a TV for all your Thai soap needs.
