A surprising find, Ban Yoo Pen Suk is very pleasant little garden oasis set just down a side lane from the main road.

It’s close to what passes for the town centre but far enough away from the road to ensure peace and quiet. They have a handful of wooden chalets – some two room, some single – scattered around the small but well-tended garden. All come with great little balconies while the interiors are equally well maintained, comfortable, spacious and air-conditioned. Facilities include ensuite bathrooms with hot showers, Wi-Fi and free tea and coffee. The owner was friendly and helpful when we stopped by and while they do officially double their prices for high season we reckon mid-week you could definitely get a deal. This is a great little spot if you need to overnight in Sob Ruak.
