The fanciest place in town
As the only flash accommodation in Mae Sariang, the Riverside Resort is where you’ll have to head if you need your little creature comforts.
Set in a huge peach-coloured cement building, a way back from the main road, the rooms are perhaps a little overpriced, particularly when compared to its sister Riverside Hotel, but otherwise very pleasant. Being basically a concrete, albeit nicely decorated, block it actually fits the description of hotel far more than its sister property and vice versa, but there you go.
The air-con rooms are well appointed, with a fridge, phone, TV, balcony looking out over the river and small but pleasantly laid out bathrooms. Deluxe rooms are similar, but more spacious. All are tastefully decorated, with a few nods to Lanna style, though still uncluttered and not over the top. There are 44 rooms in all, with most facing the river and overlooking a relaxing garden down below. Check what you’ve been allocated though, as some rooms do face the street. Prices include breakfast and the bright, spacious lobby provides newspapers, an internet cafe and seating areas also with river view.
