Charlie's House

Our rating:
3 stars, based on 1 expert review

Being one of the oldest and best known guesthouses in town, renowned Charlie's has seen better times but remains very popular.

It does have a central location and some of the cheapest rooms in Pai, if that's what you're after, though it is fairly lacking in charm or atmosphere. The bottom range shared bathroom options can be a fair way from said bathrooms, so this isn't the place to stay with a dodgy stomach. The top of the range "Romantic House" seems a bit out of place, since if you wanted to spend 600 baht you'd be better off staying at a plusher resort with better facilities. The ones in between are a better deal. Prices stay the same year round and staff are efficient and friendly. Often full though, even in low season.
