Amazing Guest House is a homely place with reasonable and clean rooms, though its location is inconvenient as it's well to the north of the town centre.
It is the cheapest around so we’ve included it here for those on a serious budget but do be warned that it’s only really practical if you have your own transport. If you do, then you’re probably not on a strict budget so the only customer demographic we can think of is broke cyclists. Although a long walk from the town sights, it is a quiet residential area and there are several other homestay/cheap guesthouse options down these quiet lanes. Amazing consists of small, individual concrete chalets in a tiny garden plus a couple of rooms in a main house. With their relatively low rates, most bungalows seemed full with long-term residents when we visited. Still, it’s peaceful and staff were very friendly so if you are short on baht this may be a good option. It's not easy to find. You’ll need to walk or cycle along Sumondhewaraj Road to the traffic lights and junction with the airport road. Turn left onto Premprachart Road and it’s around 200 metres down the second lane on the right.
