Good budget pick
Rooms at Parichart Place are certainly nothing flashy but for the price more than acceptable and are in a good spot too.
There’s no English sign but it’s relatively easy to spot: it’s the pastel pink and baby blue three-storey house more or less opposite the tourist information centre. (It’s at the right end of a short row of townhouses.) It’s got more of guesthouse than hotel feel to it though it’s highly doubtful you’ll see any foreign guests here as it seems to cater perhaps to budget-conscious commercial travellers. Rooms have tiled floors, TV and private bathrooms with hot showers plus a choice of fan or air-con. The guesthouse seems well maintained and reception staffare friendly though no English is spoken. There’s a seating area in the lobby with cold drinks from a fridge available or a terrace on the first floor. Rooms at the front have better views though they are fairly close to the main highway -- traffic isn’t heavy so it should be okay. Golden Inn does have much better rooms for a similar price but is a lot further from the centre so you may need to consider whether you have transport or not.
