Quirky and clean
Set just a quick hop across the road from the beach on Tha Khao’s north end, Suntisook (also called Santisook) is a peaceful spot with a down-home feel.
Each bungalow has a double bed, fridge and kettle, TV, big tiled bathroom with hot water and some colourful design touches that have an "eccentric auntie’s beach cottage" kind of feel. For their size and location, the fan rooms offer good value for families especially, though the air-con rooms would be worth the extra cost during the hotter months. WiFi is included. The friendly mother and daughter team who run the resort keep it in tip-top clean condition and also serve up the food in the attached open-air restaurant, which is an inviting place to hang out and enjoy the sea views. Handy location for catching the ferry to Krabi, with the pier just a short walk away down the beach.
