Stylish and quiet

More on Phang Nga Town

Found at the base of a hill down a small side lane off Phetkasem Rd, Home Phang Nga is a quiet spot with a modern design and shaded garden area.

Travelfish says:

Its six rooms are set in two houses and all have air-con, bathrooms with hot showers, twin beds that can be pushed together, fridges and TVs. The larger building has a “jungle” room on the ground floor – so called for the hillside boulders jutting into the room along one wall -- while the entire top floor is the “panorama” suite, a really big space large enough for a family, with a vaulted ceiling and wide windows offering great mountain views. Polished concrete floors and walls are painted in earthy green and brown, and the room has a small seating area with a wooden table, fridge and daybed at one corner, a wardrobe, a long counter with a kitchen sink and a bamboo loveseat. Across the road in another two-storey house are the remaining rooms, which are more budget friendly with smaller and simpler designs. Windows are shaded by light fabric rolldown blinds, which light-sensitive guests may find too bright in the morning. Booking ahead by email, we were impressed with the speed of their response, which came within an hour of our hitting “Send”. Further enquiries also received quick replies. Having become accustomed to waiting days, weeks, or forever for email replies from smaller businesses in Thailand, this was a pleasant surprise. Prices include WiFi and breakfast. Found a bit beyond the town centre just north of the Big C supermarket, it’s within easy walking distance shops and restaurants but well away from the street noise. Hits all the right notes for the flashpacker budget. Recommended.
