The Centris Hotel

The Centris Hotel

Central and comfortable

More on Phattalung

The Centris is a modern and comfortable business-style hotel with a great location in the heart of downtown.

Travelfish says:

Almost overly gushy staff members can speak a little English and will do their best to help out foreign travellers who might have trouble cracking Phattalung.

The large (for Phattalung, at least) five-storey hotel fronts a car park behind some smaller buildings just off Posard Road within easy walking distance to the fresh market and train station. A shiny lift takes you up to corridors overlooking an open central area accented by waterlilies and topped by a sunroof. Rooms go for a sophisticated grey-and-white theme with glossy tile floors, medium-soft beds with a few different types of pillows, TVs, free WiFi, air-con, desks, tables, clean hot-water bathrooms with partitioned showers and unfurnished balconies. All of the immaculately kept rooms are of a good size, and you can expect a quiet night’s sleep thanks to the location, slightly removed from the main road.

The hotel is fronted by a mainstream Thai-brand coffee shop that’s fine for a strong brew to go with the WiFi and air-con, though we’d skip the not-so-appetising 150-baht breakfast that really should be included in the room rates. Further southwest of town on Padungdonyor Road, the City Park Hotel is a similar business-style option. We found that online booking rates for The Centris were slightly cheaper than walk-in rates.
