A convenient budget option
Located on a busy road near all seafood and watering hole temptations, the Neptuna is a reasonable and central choice.
Built in 2010, the hotel is basic but extremely clean. It’s a narrow building, but it stretches way back and the corridors are long and rather gloomy. Deluxe rooms are just a tad bigger than the standards but really aren’t worth the bump in price. The standards are ideal for those on a budget, boasting large semi-firm beds, cable TV and mini-bar. Be sure to get a room with a window -- unless you want a cave to nurse yourself in after a big night out. Rooms near the pool fetch higher prices, and there’s also a triple room with a king and single bed ideal for families. The mid-sized pool looks very inviting, receiving lots of light and surrounded by some shrubbery. The place lacks character but is immaculate and friendly. Walk-in rates are far better than what we found on online booking sites (the hotel’s website appears to be kaput), so in low season especially it’s probably worth taking a chance to book on arrival.
