Comfort and value
The Surin Sunset Inn has 54 rooms -- and an elevator! The rooms are tidy and well-appointed with air-con, old model TVs, minibar, and individual balconies.
The family rooms are excellent and have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two balconies, and a common room with a sofa, TV and computers free to use. You can see Surin Beach from the balconies on the higher floors — a great spot for watching sunset. It’s a 10-minute walk to the beach itself, but prices here are much more reasonable than on the beach road and there’s lots of cheap food nearby. The lobby and restaurant were under renovation when we last visited in July 2015, but we were told the work would be finished soon. Prices include breakfast, when the restaurant’s in operation. Though the style is unremarkable, it’s a cosy place with a friendly feel.
