Overpriced and isolated
Very isolated Na Na Chart Ban Kruit is set on a good stretch of beach well to the north of Ban Krut’s hilltop wat.
The spacious grounds are filled with housing options, from affordable to ritzy, but overall this is a poor value option. Don’t be taken in by the YHA branding -- this is a resort, not a hostel. Apparently the idea is to offer a facility for conferences and package tours, while simultaneously providing options for families and individual travellers, but for the independent travellers this is a fairly mediocre place to stay. The cheaper fan-cooled bungalows are badly rundown and poor value, but the air-con ones, down near the beach, are better value. There is also a hotel-style building, but given that the rates are comparable to the Arcadia with its much better location and facilities, it just isn’t competitive. Facilities include a swimming pool and WiFi, with volleyball organised on the beach in the afternoons. Overall we’d recommend staying in Ban Krut proper rather than here. Rates below are non-member rates -- members get 100-400baht discount depending on the room chosen.
