Friendly with a good restaurant
The friendly family who run the Thai-style Sisina Resort are the main reason for choosing here -- plus the restaurant is one of the better Thai ones along the strip.
Rooms are cottage style, a fair walk back from the beach road (they rode a motorbike back while we walked) and a good size, with a large fridge, air-con, free WiFi and firm beds. There is no swimming pool (though their resort map seemed to indicate there was one) but they quipped that they had one out front -- meaning the ocean. The Thai food in the restaurant is authentic and reasonably priced. If you’re looking for a quiet Thai-style place and don’t mind being well back off the beach, this is a reasonable choice. Be sure to ask for a discount if staying more than a night or two. Rates include breakfast.
